  46. is the Dec 90 issue.

  48. Also, yesterday I got a convention announcement from Creation Conventions
  49. in the mail.  One of the guests: Carl Macek, which they described as
  50. 'creator of the Robotech series'.  CREATOR????  Sure, he changed things
  51. a LOT, but I'd use a word like destroyer, mangler, axe-wielding nut, etc.

  73.     Someone claimed to have photographed the Galileo spacecraft as
  74. it made its first flyby of Earth. The only missing information (if I
  75. remember correctly) was the apparent magnitude of the craft. I had
  76. estimated a couple of weeks ago that its a.m. would be about +8 (+-1).
  77. What was actually observed?

  79.     And I certainly look forward to seeing some Galileo pictures
  80. of the Earth and the Moon.

  119. Just heard on NPR this morning that Space Sciences is having a lott- erh
  120. sweepstakes.  The prize is a trip on MIR.  Costs $3 to call their 900 number.

  318. When things go into outer space, they have all kinds of nasty crud in them
  319. and they `outgas'.  This `outgassing' could be disastrous to a light
  320. sensing element so space electronics, etc. are baked in a vacuum to remove
  321. most of the contaminants.  When AMSAT flew with Spot-II, you should have
  322. seen how interested they were in our outgassing results from our thermal
  323. vaccuum tests.  Spot is an earth resources (big eye in the sky) satellite.
